A Moment in Photographic History:
Henry Peach Robinson was born July 9, 1830 in Ludlow, Shropshire. He was best know for his work in combination printing – joining multiple negatives to form a single image. This is what came before photomontage. Although he wasn’t the first combination printer (Oscar Gustave Rejlander first established it as an art), he did move the form forward. I included Robinson because, frankly, you don’t hear about that many guys named Peach.
