A Photographic Note:
Albumen Prints: In this early form of printing that is still being used, paper is coated with a thin layer of albumen (egg white) and sodium or ammonium chloride, and then floated on a silver nitrate solution. When exposed to ultraviolet light the image prints out without need for development. To obtain a better color, and to preserve the image, the print is usually toned with gold chloride. This process was first used in 1847 by Abel Niépce de Saint-Victor.

A Photographic Quote of Note:
Experience is the best teacher of all. And for that, there are no guarantees that one will become an artist. Only the journey matters. - - - - - Harry Callahan
