A Moment in Photographic History:
One of the early Royal Photographers, George Washington Wilson, was born February 7, 1823 in Scotland. He was commissioned by Queen Victoria and Prince Albert to document the building of Balmoral, their new highland home. He went to become one of the largest photographic publishers in the world by the 1880s.
