Hope you took that with a telephoto! You captured the shape and texture nicely and the shallow DoF really makes the subject pop.

We don’t have that type of wasp here in Texas. It is cool looking. Neat shot.

Our wasps build mud nests and yours are beautiful! Our’s build nests in our birdhouses so we are thinking they have to go. this looks like if you hold the one end you could just unwind it. You should try that.

Wasps are scarey little creatures and this nest would scare the heck out of me. They build so many nest under the eaves of our house. I try to keep them contained so we do not get stung. Great picture.
