The simplicity of this image requires the viewer to really LOOK, which is brilliant. I had originally thought there was more to the image but when I realized the texture of the rock was the focus, the image took on another sense of depth feeling almost 3D on my screen. Thank you for encouraging me to pause!

A fine picture that does require some looking to fully understand. Fine texture and color.

Excellent photo causing one to ponder the history buried in this rock. Wonderful texture – each little bump no doubt another time-line in its ancient life…

Coffee cake under a macro lens…. lovely textures. The more you look, the more intricate patterns and colouration you see
