Viewing Life From a Safe Distance

Chilcotin Grove

A Moment in Photographic History:
German photographer and teacher, Hermann Krone was born September 14, 1827. He is considered one of the best photographers of the 19th Century.
A Photographic Quote of Note:
A great photograph is a full expression of what one feels about what is being photographed in the deepest sense, and is, thereby, a true expression of what one feels about life in its entirety.

I feel it like an oasis of life in that wide, wide plain.
The ground and the sky also magnify the sense of infinity.

I like the simplicity of the image with the grove of trees and inclusion

Beautiful capture Michael. One gets a sense of freedom perhaps a touch of solitude when viewing this. Love that you made it B&W to emphasize the spatial feeling.
