A Moment in Photographic History:
Eugene Atget, died August 4, 1927. Atget spent thirty years photographing Paris. At his death, he left over 2000 eight by ten inch glass plates. There were also nearly 10,000 prints deposited in the Palais Royale archives. Here is one of the most extraordinary achievements of photography.
