A Moment in Photographic History:
One of the most experimental and original photographers in the early years of the art was Lady Clementina Hawarden who was born June 1, 1822. She began using a camera in 1857 at the age of 35.
She would not sell her prints except one time in 1864 when she sold some to support the founding a women’s art school.
