I like the absence of metal in the bridge. Feels like it fits right in with the landscape.

Lovely black and white - I love bridges of all kinds in photos - but this definitely looks out in the wilds and alone! I am possibly wrong because we know in Canada that we can just go out of the suburbs into beautiful scenery like this in no time at all! Great composition Michael - the tonal range is excellent!

PS. Thank you for posting on my blog whilst I was AWOL

Your black and white photos make me always think back to times gone by. I think of my parents, what were they doing, I wonder at the time in history when this bridge was being built. It was probably built last year. Har har.

One thing for sure, this bridge was built to last. I wonder who made it. I love the random, wild freedom of the rushes/weeds and the man made marching shadows of the bridge itself. Very lovely.

Beautiful composition. I like that the straight lines of the bridge are in opposition to the curved mountains. Very nice conversion!

The lines of the bridge "breaking" the landscape really makes the picture for me...I'm always surprised by the b&w processing on this kind of images (Where colour is a natural thing) and how well it works, giving a special kind of atmosphere to the landscape.
