CAL

A Moment in Photographic History:
Lithuanian photographer Izis (Israel Bidermanas) died on May 16, 1980. He left his Hebrew language school at age 13 to be apprenticed to a photographer. After receiving his training, he wandered the country and photographed. In 1931 he arrived in Paris penniless and without any passport or other papers, and not speaking a single word of French.
A Photographic Quote of Note:
When I have a camera in my hand, I know no fear.

The detail on the wood is beautiful, so are the cracks. Looks like the nails went long after CAL got there :) Lovely!

Great detail. Cal must have passed in an auto accident. Sad image but I like it.
