A Moment in Photographic History:
German photographer Emil Bieber died April 29, 1962.  His great-aunt was Emilie Bieber who was one of the first female photographers. She was appointed Court Photographer to the royal court of Prussia. Emil followed in her footsteps and was know as “the Emperor´s photographer.” He photographed: the German Kaiser, Queen Wilhelmina of the Netherlands, Richard Strauss, Franz Lehar, Josephine Baker, Thomas Edison, and many more. He was forced to flee the Nazis in 1938 and established himself as the best known portrait photographer in Cape Town, South Africa.

Stunning. Simply one amazing photo after another. Who would think to shoot a sunset this way? Most would walk until there was an unobstructed view.
