A Moment in Photographic History:
Early photography was hampered by photographic emulsions sensitivity to only blue and white light. German chemist Herman Vogel discovered the proper dyes to add to emulsion to create plates which were orthochromatic (sensitive to all visible spectrum light except red and dark orange.)
