The Diarist
A Photographic “Did You Know”:
Ukrainian Photographer Arthur Fellig who worked in New York City had, as one of his first jobs, the task of removing excess water from prints in the darkroom at the New York Times. This gained him the nickname of “Squeegee Boy”…which eventually became “Weegee” (and which he pronounced “Wee-chee”!)

A Photographic Quote of Note:
I picked up a camera because it was my choice of weapons against what I hated most about the universe: racism, intolerance, poverty.

I love it when we still see people writing in their diaries, Michael. I hope we never lose the ability to WRITE! Good quote from Gordon Parks!

Me gusta la composición y la gama tonal del blanco y negro. Quizá me hubiera gustado ver a la mujer no tan centrada. Situada en un lateral de la imagen y dejar que la calle fluya a su lado. Aún así me gusta mucho. Un saludo.

“I love the composition and tonal range of black and white. Perhaps I would have liked to see women not as focused. Located on the side of the picture and leave the streets flowing at his side. Even so I like a lot. Greeting.“

se dire pour se vivre dans la solitude de l’adolescence. Un B&W brutal qui met en valeur et en contraste la violence des solitudes.

Beautiful photo. I loved having her be the center of the photo. I hope you know who she is so you can give her a copy.

This to me is a great picture, I am glad people still write the inner thoughts in a diary, that to me is precious, so is this picture.
