A Moment in Photographic History:
Sir David Brewster died February 10, 1868. Sir David, an outstanding scholar, attended Edinburgh University at the age of eleven. He did early work on the properties of light and convinced David Hill to use photography as an aid to his painting. Sir David once said “While a Daguerreotype picture is much more sharp and accurate in its details than a Calotype, the latter possesses the advantage of giving a greater breadth and massiveness to its landscapes and portraits.” I guess size does matter.

A good photograph is knowing where to stand.

I think you are right about it, the 1995 model though, I love the touch of red in it, a very fine picture.
I’m sure you’re right, Michael (and Astrid), if you say so! But WOW. That’s like the old-time memories of snow for me!
This is an amazing shot. I can’t even seem to take a picture of a piece of cake that is in focus. I am very jealous of your talent. And of your knowing where to stand.
Nice! Thanks!
